EDIT (Oct4/16): We’ve just received notice from the Crystal Ridge Golf Club General Manager that their Board is no longer interested in accommodating nordic skiers as winter users of their facility. The result is an indefinite CESSATION OF THE FACILITY USE AGREEMENT for the Crystal Ridge Nordic Ski Club.
To our surprise, this occurred despite the ski club following all proper protocol as requested by the Golf Club in addition to our displaying good will towards land owners and our members best efforts to work within very restrictive operating limitations imposed upon us over the last 6 years.
We are very disappointed and have hitherto also suspended our 2016/17 membership registrations until we determine the best course of action for the club -operationally for this year, and into the future.
We’ve opened up club memberships early this year in hopes to re-build community capacity around cross country skiing here in the foothills (early bird rates apply!). The Old Farmers Almanac is predicting a colder and wetter winter than last, so we are optimistic of a good ski season on the course. We would also like to encourage opportunity for members to connect more regularly and run a regular club ski days and a few trips into the hills!

Couple of other things:
CRNSC is looking for a head volunteer coach & lesson coordinator (an executive position). There is (free) training provided with this duty and some logistical support from a few of our longstanding board members. Please email asap for more information if your interested.
Trail preparation work-bee will take place mid October (a fri or sat) when the golf season closes. This typically involves flagging, a significant amount of grass trimming and setting up equipment, signage etc. Stay posted or email your interest please.
